Position Description

Job Purpose:  

To patrol hotel premises, maintain order and safety, administer rules and regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • While patrolling premises, circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property and display good customer relation skills.
  • Patrol lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, consults with management, interview guests and employees and question persons to detect infringements, investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, etc.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
  • Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and damaged or inoperative safety equipment.
  • Warn/caution, notify or eject troublemakers and caution careless persons.
  • Obtain assistance for accident victims and file accident reports.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences.
  • Notify management and staff of the presence of persons with questionable reputations.Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.May enter and check rooms of guests suspected of leaving without paying the bill to confirm suspicions and to seize any remaining personal property.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.  Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: 

Education    

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  Experience                    

  • Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is in a related field working directly with the public. Knowledge of local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
