    Position Description

    Job Purpose:  

    To make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner, creating a positive impression and helping to increase hotel occupancy.

    Job Responsibilities: 

    • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
    • Keep daily records of room availability, rates; “Set the house” (balance and assigns rooms) daily; block rooms for VIPs and brand frequency guests.
    • Enforce hotel and company credit policies. Ensure proper routing and payment methods are applied.
    • Make, confirm and cancel reservations, usually over telephone, fax or other reservation system; track and bill “no-show” guests.
    • Use revenue management polices to maximize revenue and occupancy. Maximize upsell strategies for upgraded room types.
    • Display good customer relation skills and take initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner.
    • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
    • Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
    • Assist Guest Service Agents as needed by assisting with Check-In, and Check-Out of guests.
    • May perform duties of a general clerical nature within the hotel.
    • Attend and is participate in monthly front desk meetings.
    • Work closely with sales department to implement strategies to maximize room revenue.
    • Report to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
    • Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner and assist with guest needs.
    • Other duties as assigned by a member of management.

    Job Skills:

    • Ability to use personal judgment and specialized knowledge to give information to people.
    • Ability to shift easily and frequently from one activity to another - such as from typing, to searching in a directory, to using a telephone.
    • Oral Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand in a professional manner.
    • Written Communication – The ability to communicate through written avenues to guests and clients in a professional manner.
    • Reading Comprehension — Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

    Job Qualifications:


    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.


    • Prefer hospitality industry experience, call center
