Position Description

Job Purpose:  

Serve food to diners at counter or from a steam table or in a take-out setting

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Display good customer relation skills and take initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner upon entering the Deli and ask they what they would like and provide answers to questions concerning the menu or preparation.
  • Record each transaction in the MICROS and collect payment.
  • Prepare sandwiches, salads and beverages to order and take food out to the guest in the Deli dining area or the pool area.
  • Respond to concerns of patrons as directed by supervisor.  Observe patrons to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when the dessert has been completed.
  • Complete deli side work as deemed necessary by management.
  • Replenish supplies and prepare for the next shift.  Requisition food, paper and beverage supply according to the production inventory.
  • Total receipts at the end of shift and do necessary cashier reports.  Receive and deposit money from the day’s transactions.  Balance all banks and insure management have checked the paperwork for accuracy.
  • Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional.
  • Inspect Deli area for neatness and cleanliness.  Clean tables, counters, wash dishes during the shift to keep the area clean and presentable for guests.
  • Clean slicer, sandwich board, and station after each use and sanitize before, during and after shift.
  • Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation so that guests and employees will not be in risk of cross-contamination.
  • Keep compartment sink, side boards, and refrigerators clean and sanitized. Date and rotate food on a daily basis.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

 Education                         

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience                       

  • Food & Beverage experience preferred
